Ready to freshen up your makeup bag for spring? After doing makeup professionally for over 25 years, I’ve learned that the best beauty refresh isn’t a full overhaul… it’s a few new products that make your everyday routine feel fun again.

These are a few affordable beauty finds I’ve tried this month and genuinely love. If you’re looking to brighten up your routine for spring, these are a great place to start.

COVERGIRL TruBlend Skin Enhancer Baked Luminous Blush (under $10!!)

This blush gives that fresh “spring flush” that instantly wakes up the face.

The baked formula blends beautifully and has just the right amount of luminosity. It adds glow without looking glittery, which is something I always look for when I’m doing makeup.

The shade Strawberry Drizzle is a bright pinky-red that gives cheeks a healthy, natural flush.

COVERGIRL TruBlend Skin Enhancer Baked Luminous Bronzer

Shade: Toasted Butterscotch

Finding a bronzer that adds warmth without turning orange or muddy can be tricky, but this one does a really nice job.

The baked formula includes soft rose-gold swirls that give the skin a natural warmth and dimension.

It blends easily and gives that soft glow that works perfectly for spring and summer.

Maybelline Super Stay Ink Crayon

Shade: Break the Ceiling

I’m not kidding when I say I have at least 6 shades of this lipstick in my pro kit!

If you love long-wear lip color but don’t love the dry feeling that comes with it, this one is a great option that lasts surprisingly well.

The shade Break the Ceiling is new to me & a pretty rosy pink that feels fresh and easy for spring.

Wet n Wild Perfect Pout Gel Lip Liner

Shade: Lay Down the Mauves

This liner is one of those drugstore/amazon gems that performs way above its price point.

It’s creamy, smooth, and glides on easily (like super easily) without dragging the lips.

The shade Lay Down the Mauves pairs beautifully with pink, mauve, and neutral lip colors.

NYX Wonder Snatch Setting Powder

Shade: Cheeky Cherry

I’ve told yall before that Pink-toned setting powders have become more popular because they help brighten the under-eye area without looking chalky.

This one is lightweight and gives a subtle lifting effect while setting concealer.

How I use it:

I lightly press a small amount under the eyes and around the center of the face with a triangle puff. You’ll notice instant brightness.

Final Thoughts

Spring makeup doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes just a brighter blush, a warm bronzer, and a fresh lip color are enough to make your whole routine feel new again.

As a makeup artist of 25+ years, I’ve tested a lot of products over the years, from luxury brands to drugstore finds. I always love sharing the affordable ones that actually perform beautifully. Xoxo -Kel
