After way too many trial runs (and a few razor burns to prove it), I found the best combo that gives that soft, just-waxed dolphin skin feel. 🐬. It may seem like a few more steps than you’re used to but trust me, they are worth it!
1. Exfoliate First
Start with the Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub. (any scent but this 1 is so awesome for the holidays)
It smells like a fresh December day & buffs away every bit of dry skin. Exfoliating before shaving lifts hairs so the razor can glide closer and it keeps the ingrowns from forming later! Super important step.
2. Next oil it up (but not greasy)
The Tree Hut merry mint Shave Oil is my secret weapon. It’s clear (so you can see what you’re doing) but not oily. More of a super slick feeling and leaves skin hydrated instead of stripped. The scent matches the scrub, so the whole routine smells like a Christmas cocktail.
3. Use a Fresh, High-Quality Razor
I rotate between blades, but this Venus MoistureGlide Razor has been unbeatable. It’s THE BEST imo! It hugs curves, leaves zero nicks, & the moisture bar keeps your skin slippery the whole time.
4. Stop Razor Bumps Before They Start
After shaving, smooth on the Razor Bump Stopper Roll-On. This is the product that made me want to share this blog. It’s a game changer!!! It has glycolic & salicylic acid to exfoliate and calm irritation (SUPER helpful around the bikini area or underarms.) It’s quick-drying & not sticky. I use this every other night. Even when I’m not shaving to keep the skin calm.
5. Seal It In (the final step)
Finish with Neutrogena Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream.
This one’s fragrance-free, packed with hyaluronic acid, and absorbs in seconds. No greasy film or lotion-y feel just smooth, skin that stays hydrated all day. This helps with bumps or that “chicken skin” rash that can sometimes happen!
Now get in bed after these steps & tell me your legs don’t feel like a newborn baby!! I dare you!
This is next level self care & I’m so happy to share it & hear your thoughts!!!
