Highlight & contour don’t have to be complicated or heavy. I think a lot of people still picture harsh lines or full glam, but really, it’s just about creating natural shape & light on the face.

Lately I’ve been reaching for two affordable favorites that I can use on myself or clients when I want that soft, believable definition.

✨ Highlighter:

This one has been around forever, and for good reason. It gives that “lit from within” sheen without glitter or texture. I’ll tap it on the tops of cheekbones, bridge of the nose, and sometimes a tiny bit on the cupids bow. It just wakes everything up. This color is my favorite but all of them are great!

☀️ Bronzer/Contour:

This blends like a dream. It’s technically a bronzer, but I use it more like a soft contour, right under the cheekbones, along the jawline, and around the hairline. It melts into the skin & smells like coconut!!! 100% does not sit on top, so you get warmth & dimension without that “drawn-on” look. If you’ve taken my class you know we always set cream products with powder. So don’t forget that step here!

Here’s my quick rule of thumb:

Highlight brings forward the features you love.

Contour (or bronzer) adds shadow to create shape & structure.

Used together, they give you that natural, lifted glow, like good lighting that follows you everywhere.

Both products are cruelty-free, under $8, and blend beautifully even on mature skin (which is why I use them so often on clients who want to look like themselves, just a little more polished).
